MOJAZ SUPPORT PROGRAM was established in March 2008 as a not-for profit organization to serve vulnerable and underserved segment of Pakistan. Since then it has been endeavouring to improve socio-economic condition of poor and vulnerable communities through harnessing their potential to help themselves and by providing support in the form of financial and non-financial services. The financial services include Micro Credit, Micro Insurance and Micro Leasing and non-financial services includes: Business Development Services, Agriculture, Livelihood, Social Sector Services, Women Empowerment, Human and Institutional Building and Strengthening and Humanitarian Response—Emergency Relief and Early Recovery. Gender and Disability mainstreaming is ensured in every initiative.
Following statutory requirement of SECP/PMIC, MOJAZ Support Program (MSP) has been evolved from MOJAZ Foundation. MSP was registered under section 42 of Company Ordinance 1984. MSP was registered on 27 June 2016. Since inception, MSP has disbursed more than PKR: 7.2 Billion in different programs and projects implemented in 5 operational districts of Punjab till April 2022 focusing on agriculture, Livestock and small enterprises.

Mr. Waqar Haider Awan
Non- Executive Independent Director
Mr. Waqar Haider Awan is a Freelance Consultant holding an LL.M degree and a Master’s degree in Political Science with 21 year’s work experience. He is an HR expert with the ability to analytically understand a company’s strategy, its culture and industry nuances then create, implement and drive HR strategy for the organization. Drives thought leadership and change management initiatives to develop pragmatic and timely solutions.
Mr. Asim Mushtaq
Asim Mushtaq is a fellow member of the Institute of Public Finance Accountants and has more than 25 years of diverse and rich experience in Financial Product Development, financial inclusion, Education Technologies, agriculture value chain, private sector development, information technologies, and Entrepreneurship.
Mr. Asim has experience carrying out surveys and research, Industry profiling, mapping emerging trends, business modelling, strategy formulation, capacity building, and market assessment/linkages. He also successfully designed various programs and founded different business ventures in information technology, education technology, and health and agriculture value chains. He has designed financial products, entrepreneurship programs, workforce skills development, and entrepreneurship programs. He also has experience developing business models for agriculture for market connectivity with extensive markets/alternative supply chain systems, health and education sector for technological integration and expanding outreach.
He also has rich experience in the Microfinance sector and has worked with Asian Development Bank-funded Improving Access to Financial Service Program, European Union-funded Financial Sector Reform Program, and Swiss Development Cooperation funded Financial Sector Strengthening Program. In the Microfinance sector, his experience in strategy formulation, MIS designing, Portfolio review, Institutional reviews, financial product development and capacity building.
Mr. Amar Sham Khangharani
Non- Executive Independent Director
Mr. Amar Sham Khangharani is Program Coordinator at Development Alternatives Incorporated – Karachi Youth Initiative (KYI). He holds a degree in B.Sc (Hons) Economics with 7 plus years of experience leading, designing and implementing a diverse array of projects ranging from poverty alleviation and education to research and CVE programming.
He possess phenomenal professional and technical skills which includes Project Management and Tracking, Monitoring & Evaluation, Strategic planning, Learning and Knowledge Management, Policy Research and Writing, Grant Management, Team Organization, Proficient in STATA, MS Office Suite, SPSS and website design and content management. He also has command on report writing and analysis.
He began his professional experience as Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting (MER) Specialist and played a vital role at varying positions at Karachi Youth Initiative (KYI). Other than that, he also worked as a Research Associate at London School of Economics – International Growth Center (IGC). In addition to his professional experience, he has done a lot of volunteer-work including Volunteer, Thardeep Rural Development Programme (TRDP), and Muslim Jewish Conference (MJC) 2014 where he represented Pakistan and Consultant, Rural Credit and Enterprise Development, SRSO.
Ms. Humaira Yaqub
Non- Executive Independent Director
Ms. Humaira Yaqub is development Practitioner. She has more than 11 years of experience relating Community Development, Programme/project planning, Monitoring & Evaluation Management. She has a keen interest in using sustainable community development approaches in rural and urban areas to facilitate social development particularly in remote areas.
She also has substantial experience in education issues and social inclusion, especially with indigenous, neglected & marginalized communities. Due to her professional experience, mainly focusing on community development, she has a keen observation, knowledge and understanding of community’s needs and expectations. As she is directing Board of MOJAZ, her close connection and understanding would be beneficial for the organization to associate with the audience of organization i.e. community for its betterment and sustainable development.
She has vast experience and expertise as a Facilitator. Being a facilitator she has conducted several trainings on various topics. She has a background of receiving and conducting trainings mainly on Gender Equality and Child Development and education.
Mr. Jasvender Singh
Non- Executive Independent Director
Mr. Jasvender Singh holds a Master’s degree in Economics with a 10 years work experience with command on development of business strategies to obtain maximum outcomes. Considering his management skills, communication skills, organizational awareness and problem solving ability would be value addition in maintaining organizational growth.
He has a keen interest in problem analysis and to provide and ensure solutions in order to maintain sustainability & development of the organization. He wants to utilize his education & experience acquired for community development.
Ms. Gulshan Kaur
Chief Executive Officer (Ex-Officio)
Ms. Gulshan Kaur is the CEO of Mojaz Support Program(MSP) since July 2016. Graduated with a Master’s degree in International Relations, she has over 13 years experience of working in the development sector focusing on poverty reduction through micro and rural financing. She has served as Member on Boards of various profit/non-profit organizations and is the chairperson of Board Committee on Risk Management for MSP.
She has sound experience in working as an expert on gender sensitive poverty reduction programs, policy frameworks, and implementing microfinance programs. She also has extensive experience in design, implementation and evaluation of microfinance programs as well as in assisting different non-government organizations and donors in policy development. She has strong skills and experience in microfinance market research leading to the development of client-focused products and cost-effective delivery systems. She has a specific interest in the design of sustainable microfinance models adapted to the financial needs of micro-entrepreneurs, and which are capable of including the poor and remote rural communities. She has analytical, managerial and leadership skills to identify institutional issues and contribute to address them by analyzing with a better understanding of current trends and developing strategies.
Under her supervision, MSP is honored with “Most Innovative MIFI Award 2015” arranged by Citi-PPAF Micro-Entrepreneurship Award.

Ms. Mehwish Rasheed
Company Secretary
Ms.Mehwish Rasheed is the Company Secretary of MOJAZ Support Program since January 2017. She has completed her MS Entrepreneurship and SME Management from from GC University Lahore. She has 8 years of extensive experience in Micro Finance & Development Sector with a special focus to serve vulnerable and deprived women and children from the neglected areas of society.
As a company secretary she is responsible for the compliance of decisions, mandates, and actions delegated by the Board are appropriately assigned and communicated, and that status reports are available to the Board. Her responsibilities include, to develop a platform for excellence in Corporate Governance, as well as overseeing all legal, regulatory and compliance issues across the company. She is also assigned as Gender Focal Person to address Gender related issues at company level

Inder Jeet Singh
Manager Microfinance
Mr. Inder Jeet Singh started his career as Fabric Div. Manager and Merchandiser in a textile industry in Pakistan where he was sensitized on the plight of the ultra and vulnerable poor. From there on he developed special interest to work for the economic empowerment of poor and marginalised people and hence his journey in the development sector.
Mr. Inder Jeet is with MSP Foundation since 2008. Since then, he is spear heading the Microfinance unit at MSP. His key tasks are developing strategy and work plans for the Microfinance Department, promoting and marketing the microfinance program to all the stakeholders, and providing in-house training in relevant areas. He also develops and supports diverse strengthening activities for microfinance, including forums, focus on compliance and internal audit, and prepare reports for presentation to the CEO. Maintaining effective communication with the stakeholders, management, board of directors and with the commercial banks and other financial institutions is his strength and something he enjoys very much.
Mr. Muhammad Shahid Majeed
Manager Compliance
Mr. Muhammad Shahid Majeed has diversified experience of 17 years in the field of Microfinance, Compliance & Risk, M&E and Project Management. He started his professional career in 2004 and successfully conclude various public private partnership projects along with prudent provision of micro credit to the deprived community since start of the career by delivering services in operations, M&E, Compliance & Risk and Management.
